Before & After: Front Entry Steps
Worn, painted steps over a brick base were replaced with new concrete steps and a landing in terracotta. Old steps like these are a common repair-or-replace call: once the paint peels and the surface underneath wears, a new pour outlasts patching.

What to Look For in Finished Concrete
Look for the details that make concrete last: compacted base, rebar on chairs, tooled or saw-cut control joints, and fresh slabs roped off to cure.
That prep is how we build for Southern California's expansive clay soils, summer heat and seismic loads, with joint layouts designed to minimize cracking.
New slabs stay roped off because concrete gains strength over time, on the standard residential schedule below.
