San Diego County
A coastal Mediterranean climate lets us place concrete year-round, with hot-weather curing inland. Much of the housing stock dates to the 1970s and 80s, and tracts built on cut-and-fill lots over expansive clay commonly show settled slabs and cracked driveways and patios.

Orange County
Year-round concrete weather, with hot, dry Santa Ana winds that raise plastic-shrinkage risk on fresh flatwork. About 57% of homes were built before 1980, so aging slab foundations, driveways, sidewalks and patios make up much of the repair-and-replace work.

Riverside County
The hottest of the four counties: summer highs regularly exceed 90–100 °F around Temecula, Murrieta and Menifee. Early-morning pours and wet curing are standard, and clay soils that swell and shrink with the seasons mean footings go 24 to 48 inches down.

Los Angeles County
The region's oldest housing stock, median year built 1966, keeps driveways, sidewalks, curbs and slab foundations due for replacement. Expansive clays sit in the upper few feet across much of the basin, and each of the 88 cities runs its own building department.

Do you charge extra to travel to Riverside or Los Angeles County?
Distance is built into the written estimate before you sign, never added afterward. Every estimate is itemized, so you can see exactly what you are paying for before work starts. There are no hidden charges.
How far ahead should I schedule a concrete pour?
Call as soon as you have a rough scope. We walk the site, give you a written estimate and set a start date. Most residential projects take about 3 working days, depending on the job, and always in a timely fashion.
Do I need a building permit for a driveway or patio in Southern California?
Usually not. The California Residential Code (R105.2) exempts sidewalks and driveways on private property, although cities can amend that list. Foundations, structural slabs and retaining walls over 4 feet are permitted work. We confirm what applies to your address.
Who issues the permit for a driveway approach, curb, gutter or sidewalk?
Any work in the public right-of-way needs an encroachment permit from your city, or from county public works in unincorporated areas. Los Angeles County wants the contractor's license and insurance on the application; Riverside County issues most within 14 working days.
